What is hospice care?

Stillwater Hospice was organized in 2017 by a group of local individuals/professionals who saw the need for exceptional end-of-life care centered around patients and employees. Hospice focuses on caring for individuals with a life-limiting illness. Our team collaborates to address the unique physical, emotional, social, and spiritual challenges that our patients and their loved ones face. Wherever you are on your journey, we’ll walk alongside and support you. Rely on us to provide the right care, help you cope with grief, and assist with medical decisions. Most other insurances providers, including Medicaid, also have a hospice benefit with little to no out-of-pocket costs. Our team is happy to work with you to answer any financial questions you may have. Any person with a life-limiting illness is eligible for hospice care.
When is the right time
As health professionals, we are dedicated to educating the community about the benefits and effective use of Hospice. At its most basic, hospice care encompasses the services needed to maintain the comfort and dignity of a person whose life is limited. At Stillwater Hospice, however, we believe hospice care is far more than that.
